(THIS FLIGHT IS A TRIAL FLIGHT/ LESSON) A unique and one off experience, enjoy a true 1920’s style open cockpit barnstorming flight but in a ultra modern microlight.
Extended flight time allows us to see much more of this spectacular part of our country from an awsome view point, the instructor can tailor the destination to your requirements (Legal and within reason !) or you can take one of the set routes that we have developed :
Spectacular North Pembrokshire Coast, Fishgard, St Davids, Solva...
Fly North to Fishgard, then past Carregwasted Point (Where the last attempted invasion of Britian was foiled )and Strumble Head then on along the North Coast, if the Sea is clear which it normally is you can spot seals and even dolphins. Onto Whitesands Bay and get an incredible view of Ramsay Island and the Rib Boats riding the rapid tidal flows of the bitches. Look down at the splendour of St Davids and on past Solva (on one lesson we actually smelt coffee from one of the coffee shops below!!) past RAF Brawdy and across country to begin our descent back into Haverfordwest Airport. If conditions allow the instructor will offer you the opportunity to have a go at the controls and share a bit of the flying !!!
Talbenny, Dale and Skomer Island
On climbing out of Haverfordwest Airport we head straight for the coast at Broad Haven we then follow the cliff tops, if the Sea is clear which it normally is you can spot seals and even dolphins. Passing the disused world war two airfield at Talbenny we fly on towards Skomer Island. Past Skomer we fly past Marloe sands a spectacular and remote beach and on the cliff tops above we have the erie sight of Dale airfield an abandoned world war two airfield which given its size and remoteness should be made a national monument, we follow on up and around St Annes Head and get some great views down into Milford Haven. A run back along the Coast towards Pembroke and a return to Haverfordwest make this a memorable route. If conditions allow the instructor will offer you the opportunity to have a go at the controls and share a bit of the flying !!!
Pilot Training
For those who know before the flight they definitely are going for a NPPL the one hour lesson will be split, with the first 30 minutes in the rear seat getting an overview of the controls and the second half hour the student gets an opportunity to have a go in the pilots seat (see our detailed training page)
An Flying Adventure DVD or Flight Chart of the local area makes an ideal addition to the gift voucher.
If you want to tailor a more ambitious barnstorming flight, speak to our Instructor Martin 07734 428 144 and he’ll do his best to accommodate.
