The 2007-2008 edition of the world’s most authoritative guide to leisure flying is the biggest ever published. With 348 pages including specifications of over 1500 aircraft, it is the most comprehensive guide to fun flying ever produced.
This edition boasts the largest ever section on fixed-wing microlights / light sport aircraft, no less than 82 pages and 282 entries. Another innovation this year is the inclusion of technical data on paramotor wings.
A joint production of well established aviation publishers in four countries — Britain, the USA, France and Germany — it follows the well-tried formula which has made it so popular worldwide, with photos, descriptions and technical data of a huge variety of hang gliders, paragliders, microlights, ultralights, homebuilts, paraplanes, paramotors, ultralight gliders, gyros, helicopters and certified light aircraft.
There is also a comprehensive guide to engines and accessories, details of training, a calendar of international events and addresses of national and international sporting bodies.
Despite its increased size, it is priced at a highly competitive £6.50.
The publishing consortium is led by Vol Moteur in France and Flügel in Germany. Also involved are the British Microlight Aircraft Association and the Popular Flying Association in Britain, and the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) in the US. Comprehensive information on EAA activities is included in the publication.
